Pen and Paper

pen and paper

as I sit at this desk

at this desk with a pen in hand

I am filled with emotion

when I stare at the page before me I am many things

I am happy angry sad

I feel joy melancholy excitement

but it is now time to let these emotions go

let them leak from my soul out to my heart and then my mind

to run through my veins and to my fingertips

to the ballpoint of my favorite purple pen

I shall now begin to let my emotions show.
