Hey guys and girls and dogs and cats and kids and adults and trans and men and women and robots and zombies but not really zombies cuz I like my brains!
anyway welcome!
Testing it is coming. we all hate it but it has to be done if it is the sat the act the p-act the eoc the map the NAACP the PDQ or finals. jk I know that NAACP is not a test as well as PDQ but ok! you can use these tips and tricks no matter what you are doing to help you to get a better test score.
a week or more before your test:
start studying!! use whatever method of studying works for you if you are an auditory learner than listen to a podcast that explains the topic at hand if you are a kenisitic learner than make something or move around while studying if you are visual learner than use flashcards or acronyms. whatever works.
plan ahead! plan plan plan plan your day of the test plan a study schedule plan a sleep time an eat time plan to your hearts content the more organized you and your notes are the more likely you are to get a better grade!
eat healthy and get moving this helps your brain work so get outside for at least 30 minutes a day for some vitamin d and move for 1 hour a day and eat from my plate and drink lots of water!!
the night before!
put your clothes and what you need for the test in one spot by the door so you do not forget anything!
unplug yourself! put your electronics out of your room while sleeping and stay of electronics at least one hour before you go to bed.
do something non-stimulating and super relaxing before you go to sleep so you can wind down.
get around eight hours of rem sleep if you are interrupted in any way you can be super sleepy in the morning.
the morning of!
eat a high protein low fat low sugar breakfast. eat enough to fill your stomach but not where you are too full.
drink some no sugar added orange juice and lots of water!
use some mantras and positive affirmations to psyche yourself up for the test it is a big game or performance you have been preparing for months to do and tell yourself you are going to ace this test and you will do great!!
during!
use process of elimination and read the questions well do your best and use test strategies also take it one question at a time focus on now not the future or the last problem. remember the future is just a lot of now's put together
after!
remember to relax treat yourself do something easy on the brain you just got done running a marathon with your brain for Pete's sake!
