The Best Gift

I have been given many gifts in my life. My favorite best gift received was not something I can hold. My favorite gift was the gift of adoption, this is the best gift ever. If I was not adopted would currently be homeless abused I would not know the lord I would not have or know what I do. Because of the gift of my parents and family, I have a better future than if I was not adopted. The gift of adoption saved my life, and is better than any gift I have and will ever receive. I will never forget the day that my daddy Jeremy sat me on lap next to mommy ´Jenna nosh´ on the upstairs couch. They asked me if I wanted to live and grow up here forever. I then asked if that meant I would live here for a month then go to live with grammy and then someone else? I was very confused by this love they showed me I had been acting out to see if they meant what they said a while back about staying here. They still haven't changed their mind in fact even though I broke a hole in the wall they wanted me to stay forever! I was not sure what they meant I had never stayed in a home for more than a year until now. Once I realized this was no joke I jumped on the couch over and over in excitement knocking the lamp off the end table. I do not know if my parents knew what they were getting themselves into.

I have not changed my mind about the best gift I have been given. Though I have received many amazing gifts including my creative talents including dance, my voice, my ability to lose myself in the act of serving others. I would not know of these gifts without the love and opportunities given to me through adoption. I hope to someday give someone else the same gift I was given. The gift of adoption is priceless, worth more then any other gift. Adoption has given me security, opportunities, and a huge list of priceless gifts!
