today's prompt

today my prompt is: Write a poem or short story using three of the following words: expensive, lampshade, bruise, convincing. He loves me he does, he does not know how to show it. He used to, but now he has forgotten. I think he still loves me yes he does he brings me expensive things he brought me a new lampshade, it is from Paris, handmade beautiful but he also gave me this bruise on my face just my cheek bone it is ok though I fell and hit the end table when putting the lampshade on I tripped on a lip in the rug and my face caught the table is that convincing enough? would you believe it? I would not, but I know better. This one is morbid but I think my better works are sadder because they are easy to be emotional about.
