If you do not already know Voka is an austrian artist who does a wide verity of work but is well known for his colorful portraits and his spontaneous realism his photos capture movement emotion and expression in a wide range of colors. the following are notes from my interview with him.

he grew up in the alps he became an engineer to please his parents he was always loved art he spent a lot of time with his grandfather often his grandpa painted flowers on paints as he drew faces with the same colors he drew all the time he started painting when he was 12 when he was 15 he drew all the time when he was 16 he saw a movie about Vincent van Gough in black and white it inspired him to do art as passion and use color instead of the black and white movie he says"the moment gave me shivers on my arms he went to carpenter to get old wood and made frames and then he made a canvas out of a bed sheet his grandpa went down to a small store in the village and he bought a small kit with paints brushes and a booklet to explain perspective and gave it to him for Christmas he had no one to teach him he just went from what he saw q and a grace Olsen where do you get your inspiration Everyday life finds the beauty in everything he always paints what he sees daily he likes to paint things with lots of things going on and that you can see movement sometimes he takes photos puts them on the laptop and then look from there most head paintings are random people how do you decide what colors to use and where to put them there are no decisions he has done about 3,00 ish paintings he is familiar with the color "circle" and has lots of experience he just works and the spontaneous accident turns to beautiful art he uses lots of emotions using color as well what kinds of things do you do to be a better artist and do you have to practice I don't try to get better and I don't have a target for my art " my best painting is the next painting I did" my art is my practice" what is your daily routine like as an artist: I have no daily routine " f I like to paint in the evening and I go to my studio at 7 ish and come home at 2 to 3 am I am always printing out pics of heads I go to the studio at least 2 to 3 times a week ït is not only about art" I try to enjoy life and spend time with my wife and family what is the one art piece you are most proud of? I really like the ones on masterpiece connection painting old masters like redoing things like the last supper what artists have inspired you Vincent mango Pablo Picasso all artists that made something new and did not exist before and all the artists who know who know their skills and craftsmanship "i am not impressed with a red dot and blue line cost 2 million that is not right no no way"

In conclusion Voka is a down to earth family man with a passion for his work.
